O.K. Let me admit - right up
front - that this should be more acurately titled "About
Lyman & his brilliant granddaughters with the dazzling personalities
and boundless talent". Karis and Madilyn join me in welcoming
Elizabeth Millie into the world. Aren't they beautiful! A Grandpa
has to brag a little, right? As a matter of fact, I think we passed
a bill back in the '80s requiring it in state statute.
Anyway, as you can see, family
is very important to me. Lillian and I have been blessed with
many things and one of our greatest blessings was the chance to
raise our children, Trina and Douglas, in Southwest Alaska. And
now, we're getting to see Trina and our son-in-law Hugh Short
raise our 3 granddaughters . And we're happy to have Douglas back
in Bethel, working for the City.

I wonder if
she will remember
this photo 30 years from now when she's giving her first address
to a joint session
of Congress?
